Grey structure vs complete construction
A grey structure covers the foundation, columns, slabs, brick walls and plaster — the house is standing but not livable. Complete construction adds flooring, paint, doors and woodwork, electrical and plumbing fittings, kitchen and bathrooms. Finishing quality (economy, standard, premium, luxury) is what moves the rate the most.

What is covered area?
Covered area is the built-up floor area of all roofed portions of the building, not the plot size. A 10 Marla plot usually has less covered area per floor than the plot itself because of setbacks and open space.
How long does it take to build a house?
A grey structure typically takes several months, and complete construction with finishing usually takes about half a year to a year or more depending on size. The calculator shows a rough range only.
