Property Index

Average prices and price per Marla across Pakistani cities, calculated from live listings.

The My Property Price Index

The My Property Index turns live listing data into an easy price guide for Pakistan. For each city it shows the average and median asking price, the price range and — most useful for comparing plots and houses of different sizes — the average price per Marla. Switch between properties for sale and for rent, or narrow the index to homes, plots or commercial property.

How to read the index

  • Average vs median: a few very expensive listings pull the average up; the median shows the typical asking price.
  • Price per Marla: divide the price by the plot size to compare a 5 Marla house in one city with a 10 Marla house in another.
  • Sample size: the index reflects asking prices on My Property, not registered sale prices, and small samples can swing widely.

Use it alongside Property Trends to see which areas are drawing the most interest, then explore area guides for the cities you like.

Frequently asked questions

How is the price per Marla calculated?

For every active listing we divide the asking price by its size in Marla and then average those values for each city.

Is this the actual selling price of properties?

No. The index is based on asking prices in current My Property listings. Final sale prices are negotiated and registered separately.

How often is the index updated?

It is calculated from the live listings on the site each time you open the page, so it changes as agents add, edit or remove listings.

Why is my city missing?

A city appears once there are active listings with a valid size for the selected purpose and category. Try changing the filters.
